With smudges, redness and creasing in tow, a mid-day makeup application is often a necessary evil. But let’s be real, you often don’t have the time, patience or energy to completely re-do your entire look. Applying more product on top of an already made up face can leave you feeling cakey, overdone and just plain uncomfortable. It can be confusing to figure out exactly what parts need touching up. Some touch ups are helpful while others don’t have the same effect. Thankfully, I found a few beauty products that can help bring your makeup back to life and you can easily carry them in a small makeup bag.
Make sure not to add more makeup until you’ve sprayed your face with toner or mineral water. Then separate a tissue or blotting paper and gently blot with both pieces. Your face will no longer have that ‘overworked’ look, feel free to add a bit more concealer, blush, etc… Along with powder, lipstick is the other makeup product commonly thought of when it comes to touch ups. Lipstick does need a bit of assistance to get through the day. Eating and drinking can fade it into nothingness. It’s the part of your makeup that usually needs to be refreshed most often. Taking a moment to reapply it can pull your whole look back together.
